About us
Bariga Stars Football Club is a football development institution established in July 2025, committed to discovering, nurturing, and developing young football talent while using the power of sport to create positive change within the community.
Bariga Stars was established to create opportunities for young footballers, particularly at the grassroots level, by providing the right environment, coaching, guidance, and support to help them develop their abilities and pursue their football ambitions.
We believe football is more than a game. It builds discipline, teamwork, leadership, confidence, and resilience — and we believe great footballers are developed through coaching, hard work, character, and opportunity.
Our club philosophy
…but discipline, character, and hard work determine how far you go. We want every player who passes through Bariga Stars to leave with more than just football skills — confidence, discipline, respect, resilience, and the belief that their future can be bigger than their circumstances.
To nurture young talent, promote discipline, teamwork, and resilience both on and off the pitch, and use football as a powerful tool for youth empowerment and positive community development — providing a platform where players grow into professionals, inspire their community, and embody the values of excellence, integrity, and passion for the game.
To become a leading grassroots football club in Nigeria, recognised for producing world-class players and fostering unity through sport. We aspire to shine as a beacon of hope in Bariga, empowering youth and building a legacy that transcends generations.
Our core values
Our values shape who we are, how we develop our players, and the kind of people we want them to become.
We believe in every player's potential and encourage our players to believe in themselves, their abilities, and their dreams.
We encourage our players to set high goals, work hard, and always strive to become better.
We promote respect for teammates, coaches, opponents, officials, and the game itself.
We believe in doing the right thing, both on and off the pitch, and building players of strong character.
We are committed to continuous learning, development, and improvement, both as footballers and as individuals.
We encourage our players and staff to take responsibility for their actions, their development, and their role within the team.
Long-term growth
Bariga Stars will grow from a grassroots football club into a respected football institution — developing talented players, building strong character, and creating opportunities for our players to progress into professional and international football.
